Shakir is an accomplished leader/strategist with an entrepreneurial approach and over 30 years of Travel & Aviation Industry experience.

In his earlier roles with a leading Airline, he has been commercially responsible & accountable for annual revenues of over $ 500 Million with a focus on costs & profits. Has a proven track record of delivering positive results.

He has managed all commercial aspects of the Airline business plan, including but not limited to – steering revenue, optimizing flight network, partner & vendor relationships, product development, brand, marketing, e-commerce, revenue management, airport functions, leisure product initiatives, loyalty program, corporate communications, government relations, distribution strategy, ancillary revenue strategies & more. He gained extensive “start-up” experience having launched Jet Airways routes across 10 cities in all Gulf countries. Played an instrumental role in Jet Airways’ growth from zero to 100 daily flights both ways, between the Gulf & India with some of its most profitable routes.

Shakir has earlier worked with leading Travel Agencies and GSA companies. With his varied experience in all commercial areas, people management in cross-cultural environments, and his with problem-solving capabilities, Shakir will be happy to share utilize his experiences to enhance and develop training courses for new learners and existing industry professionals.
