Our Co-founder, Mr. Rajagopalan Ganesan (Raju), is an IATA Certified Trainer with more than 3 decades of experience in the Aviation Industry. After 10 years in Oman, 16 years in UAE with Kuwait Airways, and 7 years with a leading Aviation Academy, Mr. Rajagopalan is passionate to transfer the knowledge he gained during his long stint with the aviation industry and took upon the challenge to transform young professionals.

He currently holds more than 50 certifications from the gold standard institutes including IATA, Amadeus and ALTEA trainings. Over the tenure of his career, he has trained more than 3,000 students in several areas of the aviation industry and produced students with distinction and country toppers in IATA certification courses.

With the combined experience of more than 5 decades, we at WingsWay are confident of delivering the best quality training to professionals seeking opportunities in aviation, logistics and supply chain industries whilst enabling organizations prepare for a brighter tomorrow.

Mr. G. Rajagopalan

Co-founder & CEO

Ganesan Rajagopalan (Raju) is an IATA Certified Trainer with more than 25 years of Training experience in Aviation Industry. After 10 years in Muscat and 16 years in Dubai with Kuwait Airways, Mr. Raju decided to transfer the knowledge he gained during his long stint with the aviation industry and joined training industry to transform young professionals. He is holding as many as 50 certifications in many of the IATA, Amadeus and ALTEA trainings. He trained more than 3,000 students in several areas of aviation business and produced students with distinction and country toppers in IATA certification courses in various fields of aviation industry namely, Cabin Crew, Passenger Ground Services, and Foundation in Travel & Tourism, Managing Travel Business, Cargo Introductory, Airport Ramp Services, Passenger Ground Services, Ground Operations Management, Revenue Management, Airport Operations, and Amadeus Altea Customer & Flight Management.

Mr. Shakir Kantawala

Co-founder & Managing Partner

Shakir Kantawala is an accomplished leader and strategist with an entrepreneurial approach having over 28 years of Travel & Aviation Industry experience, across India, Middle East and Africa (MEA) Region. Started from the ticketing & reservations counter, to outdoor sales and grew into various leadership roles.

In his last role, as Regional Vice President at Jet Airways, he was commercially accountable for annual revenues of over $ 500 Million whilst controlling costs with bottom-line P&L responsibility and a proven track record of delivering positive results.

In his various roles, Shakir has successfully managed all commercial aspects of the aviation business plan, including but not limited to – steering revenue, optimizing network, partner & vendor relationships, product, brand, marketing, e-commerce, revenue management, airport functions, leisure product initiatives, loyalty program, corporate communications, government relations, distribution systems, ancillary revenues strategy and more.

Gained extensive “start-up” experience having launched Jet Airways routes across 10 stations in all Gulf (GCC) countries. Grew from zero to 100 daily flights both ways, between the Gulf and India. Worked closely with interline & code-share airlines, 30+ General Sales Agencies, travel trade partners, corporate houses and various other relevant partners across countries in the Middle East and Africa Regions.

Adept at people management in cross-cultural environments having worked for an Airline, Travel Agencies and GSA company. Has the passion, integrity, focus, with energy to drive corporate commercial goals whilst motivating, mentoring, building and guiding committed “A-teams”.

This is how WingsWay Training was born.  Senior professionals from the training, aviation, & logistics industry were determined to change the way knowledge was imparted.  They had a vision to introduce training techniques that extract hidden potential from students and transform them to achieve global excellence.
